Explore The Crab Shack La Habra

Located at 1367 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90631, United States, The Crab Shack La Habra is the kind of place I like to recommend when someone is craving bold seafood flavors in a relaxed, welcoming setting. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels lively and comfortable, with cool décor that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your meal. The space has an inviting energy that works just as well for a casual dinner with loved ones as it does for a laid-back night out when cooking at home isn’t appealing. What really stands out to me is the friendly, attentive service-staff members are warm, approachable, and genuinely check in to make sure everything is going well without making the experience feel rushed. The menu leans heavily into Cajun-style seafood, delivering rich, satisfying flavors that leave a strong impression. Dishes like the fish and chips rise above expectations, with a crisp texture and seasoning that rivals, and often surpasses, similar offerings elsewhere. Seafood boils are another highlight, especially the shrimp combos, which are packed with flavor and can be customized to suit different spice preferences. If you enjoy experimenting, pairing your seafood with sides like garlic noodles or wings adds even more variety to the meal. For drinks, the blueberry lemonade is a refreshing standout, particularly on warm days, offering a sweet and cooling balance to the savory dishes. Sandwich options also shine, with hearty choices like shrimp-filled gumbo-style sandwiches that are satisfying without being heavy. Service is prompt, the food arrives without long waits, and the overall experience feels easygoing and enjoyable, making The Crab Shack La Habra a dependable spot for flavorful seafood and a good time.

The atmosphere is great and decor is cool. The whole place is super welcoming. The staff was super nice and constantly came back to see if we needed anything else. The food was amazing. Great Cajun flavor. I had the Fish and chips they tasted much better than most of the other places I've had it at.

First time having boiling crab combo one was good! Had to toss shrimp in bag a few times to get the flavor. But will give it a try again with garlic noodles and wings.

Really friendly staff. The blueberry lemonade is really refreshing, you definitely want to try it, especially on a really hot day. It’s a really cool place to go have dinner with your loved ones on those days you just don’t feel like cooking. My girlfriend loved her sandwich; I think it was the gumbo sandwich(with shrimp). I loved my shrimps but would have loved them a lil bit more spicy. I loved the fact that it didn’t take forever to get service and all. Thumbs up.

we were quickly seated and tended to by the waitress. we had a few minutes at the front counter to look over the menu so we already knew what we wanted. i ordered the 1 pound of shrimp w/ the head attached. i went with the 'medium' heat and it was just the right amount of heat but i should've went with the spicier one. i'd like to come back and try another one of their seafood dishes. the cajun fries as a side order was a great portion size as well.

Such a great experience here. Our server which I didn't get her name sadly was so sweet kind and accommodating!!! The food was good nothing to rave about though simple and normal bagged seafood, but the service was so on point I'll be back!!! Such an easy place to have a family gatherings or birthday party dinners. I plan to try the other meals they have on their menu. So far I would recommend this place.
